Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills in ABC's Lost television show. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio dropped out of high school and moved in Los Angeles after her divorced parents. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles, she was able to land her first major role in the online video show Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 and was awarded with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) alongside her. Grace wanted to focus on film following her role as Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. She has appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two additional episodes, including the series final. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season, which aired between 2013 and the year 2014. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to celebrities and attracts the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is older that Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens She began working in small roles for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. She also starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performances as the lead in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) and in the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) each of which resulted in the Golden Globe Award nomination. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). For her performance as the single mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Following that, she went on to play in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (12). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she also appeared as a character in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). Her most recent roles include her character as the primary protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal started her career as a screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021, when she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter.
